Akilah Watts
Akilah works with a number of media including drawing, painting, mixed media, sculpture as well as high and low relief paintings.
Some of her works deal with pop culture and cultural exchange as well as Barbadian folklore and traditions through ideas of play and souvenirs. Watts’ new works touch on issues such as race, culture as well as ideas of belonging and beauty.

This exhibition is a platform for artists to showcase their art and tell stories of freedom against the barrier of creating in a physical space. This exhibition features artists in Barbados, the Caribbean and in the Caribbean Diaspora around the world. The exhibition is an intersection of digital work and physical work all being showcased on the same digital platform.
